Leadership Development System
To understand the workforce requirements and manage talent across the sector, the Public Sector Commission has implemented a Leadership Development System (LDS).
The LDS enables the Public Sector Commission to identify and build the capability of our current and future leaders. The system is a sector-wide development tool for leaders and employees who have been identified as high value by their agencies. The LDS provides networking opportunities for user groups such as Graduates and HR practitioners. Communities of practice for all leadership programs have been established to encourage ongoing alumni networks.
The system will allow the Public Sector Commission to analyse capability trends and succession gaps within the sector. By encouraging leaders to manage their careers, the system will also promote mobility and transference of capability across the sector.
