The RAMS - Maximum attachment size for agency attachments policy came into effect on July 1, 2010. Agencies are requested to review the policy and ensure all attachments comply with the policy.
Enhancements to RAMS are released regularly. Workshops and documentation listing these enhancements are being developed to improve the awareness of these enhancement for RAMS users.
Updates to incorporate the new Commissioner's Instructions - Filling a Public Sector Vacancy
In February 2011, the Public Sector Commissioner released a Commissioner’s Instruction (CI). Commissioner’s Instruction: Filling a Public Sector Vacancy outlines how a vacancy may be filled in the public sector. Flexibilities articulated within the CI include the use of Suitability Lists and Shared Appointment Pools.
Enhancements have been made to RAMS to allow both Suitability Lists and Shared Appointment Pools to be managed in a more consistent and effective manner, as well as allow accurate reporting to be generated on the use of these new forms of recruitment.
See the User Guidelines below for detailed instructions on how to use these new enhancements.
Note that the User Guidelines contain many images and therefore are large files that may take longer than normal to download. The nature of this document requires that many images are used.
Indigenous Jobs Australia (IJA) website enhancement
RAMS users can use the new IJA enhancement to easily promote vacancies targeting Indigenous applicants via the IJA website. All agencies are able to use this enhancement at no cost.
See the User Guidelines below for detailed instructions on how to determine what vacancies are suitable for the IJA website, and how to use RAMS to promote those suitable vacancies via this online jobs board.
