Sector performance and oversight
The Commissioner has a legislative role to monitor and report on the state of public sector administration and management and to assess compliance with standards, ethical codes and public interest disclosure guidelines.
While the broader monitoring role is related to the conduct of reviews and investigations, these areas of activity are distinct. These activities, along with reviews of breach of human resource standards claims, are undertaken by the Performance and Oversight Directorate within the Accountability, Policy and Performance Division. Information about breach of standards review processes is maintained in the Human Resources Standards section of the website.
This section of the website deals with:
- Monitoring sector performance and compliance
- Reporting on the state of the sector
- Reviews, investigation and inquiries
- Public Interest Disclosure compliance.
